The Shoreline;


Probably the most inappropriate time to be posting summer, bright manips but what the heck. I love the beach :3
So yeah, this took ages. Literally. I spent about 8 hours on it, with distractions of course, but still took ages.
Really happy with the hair on this one, was unsure of the main at first but at the moment, it's growing on me. Also, if you check the links below, I made a hair painting tutorial for ~AbleToDream so I'll link that in too.
Pretty sure I've not missed anything but if I have, let me know and I can correct it!

Nicely done! :) I like how crisp and sharp are the horse's mane and tail - on one hand, it makes it more visible that they're painted, but on the other it adds something interesting to the image. And frankly, it's actually nice to see a bright, summer manip now, when it's so bleak and gloomy outside. My only advice is to make the reflection on the water slightly bigger next time and watch out for shadows under the horse's mane - I think they're too soft here. Love how you've blurred the background. Great job!
